IN-HOME Dementia – Alzheimer’s Care

In-Home Dementia – Alzheimer’s Care

Memory loss, confusion and disorientation make it difficult for people with dementia to remain in their own homes. With the right kind of support, they can remain in the home they love and by doing so maintain the best quality of life.

Caring for a person with Alzheimer’s Disease or any other form of dementia is highly-specialized, requiring increasing amounts of support as the disease progresses. As memory fades, confusion, disorientation and physical disability increases, at times resulting in both the individual and their family members feeling great distress.

We encourage families to make early decisions about caring for a loved one with dementia. This helps everyone cope better with the emotional impact of the diagnosis and enables your loved one to express their preferences and share their concerns before they’re no longer capable of doing so. With the right home care support, dementia sufferers can stay for as long as possible in a home. This makes them feel more secure and has the added benefit of being a familiar environment with routines that trigger happy memories rather than confusion.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

A privately owned Manitoban company, Golden Bridge has provided home care for clients living with disabilities. In this time, we have gained an excellent repeatation. Our services are fully insured, our nurses, LPN s and care givers meet national training standards and have undergone careful screening and police checks. An important part of our service (which sets us apart from other home care providers) is the ongoing, active supervision from an experienced care coordinator who has a capped case load lower than the industry standard.

Golden Bridge are the experts in health funding and can help you apply, understand and get the most out of your health care funding. We also have many years of experience helping individuals and families navigate their way through the challenges and emotions of arranging privately-funded disability care, including providing complementary services not funded by the Home Care.
